Dr. Wissink grew up on a small dairy farm near Grand Rapids, Michigan - always an interesting conversation starter. After studying molecular biology at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, she came to Stanford and never left. She attended Stanford Medical School, and then stayed for Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine. She has been practicing Internal Medicine in private practice in Palo Alto ever since. Her husband is a Cardiologist at Stanford, which allows them to live on campus. He has one adult daughter. They have 3 children together who are between high school and elementary school. They enjoy skiing at Kirkwood, exercising, good food, family and friends.
