All patients must have health insurance.  The program fees do not cover hospitalizations, other doctor appointments, medications, immunizations, laboratory or radiological testing, etc.

What if I need to see a specialist or have laboratory testing?

We will refer you to specialists and for laboratory or radiological testing as needed.  These services are typically covered by insurance and you can continue to use your regular insurance for these services.  We will help coordinate appointments with specialists and help arrange for other testing.  Since Dr. Wissink has been a member of the Stanford and Palo Alto communities for over 20 years, she can easily coordinate with the appropriate specialist for you.

What if I need to be hospitalized?

Dr. Wissink has privileges at Stanford University Hospital.  If you are hospitalized at Stanford, Dr. Wissink will visit you regularly and will coordinate care with the hospital physicians.  If you are admitted to another hospital, Dr. Wissink will work closely with their hospital physicians.
